Kaichi Sugiyama

Born in 1977 in Shizuoka, Japan. Self-taught, he began researching the world’s calendars, and in 2007 he invented the “Solar System Time and Space Map of the Earth Calendar,” which allows us to grasp time on a global scale. He is a researcher in many fields including astronomy, agriculture, and education. He is a member of the Japanese Society for Calendar Science and Technology, the Japanese Association for the Promotion of Calendar Culture, and the Japanese Society for Hidekei Studies.
