keibo oiwa

Keibo Oiwa (a.k.a. Tsuji Shin’ichi) is a Japanese cultural anthropologist, writer, film-maker, environmental activist, and public speaker. Author and co-author of over 50 books, he taught, and is now a professor emeritus, at Meiji Gakuin University. His books include Slow is Beautiful: Culture as Slowness, and Rowing the Eternal Sea: The Story of a Minamata Fisherman. He has produced and directed 8 DVD documentary series “Asian Visions.”
