Phra Yuki Naradevo
Born in Saitama prefecture in 1962. Graduated from Sophia University Faculty of Philosophy, Deputy Chief priest of Watpa Sukato
Phra Yuki has been involved in many volunteer work and non-governmental activities since University. After graduating from University, Phra Yuki went to Chulalongkorn University in Thailand for his masters and researched the Thai Monks’ role in agricultural development.
In 1988, he became a priest under Luang Por Kam Kean, famous as meditation leader, and since has acted as development monk to support villagers in their pursuit of physical and spiritual happiness, as he pursues his own ascetic practice.
He has also been working extensively on psychotherapeutic approaches based on Buddha’s teachings, and regularly hold retreats (meditation camp) at Watpa Sukato for medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, physiotherapists.
More recently, there has been many people dealing with health and psychological issues, and Japanese self searching, who visit Watpa Sukato, and he has supported them through Buddha’s teachings.
He has also been invited every year to Japan to present in talks for various universities and temples, workshops, voluntary meditation classes, etc, all being very successful.
