Takashi Maeno


He graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1984 and received his M.S. from the same university in 1986. He was a visiting researcher at Canon Inc. and the University of California, Berkeley, and a visiting professor at Harvard University, and is currently a professor at the Graduate School of System Design and Management, Keio University. He is also the Director of the Wellbeing Research Centre at Keio University. D. in Engineering. He is the author of many books, including “The Management of a Happy Workplace” (2019), “Happiness Studies x Management Studies” (2018), “The Mechanism of Happiness” (2014), and “Why the Brain Created the Mind” (Chikuma Shobo, 2004). He has received the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Award (Paper) (1999), the Robotics Society of Japan Paper Award (2003), and the Virtual Reality Society of Japan Paper Award (2007). His specialties include system design and management studies, happiness studies, and innovation education.
